Elementary School Review

“Hillary visited our school and captured the attention during grade-level assemblies for Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. Hillary spoke about how her books teach inclusion, empathy, and compassion. She did this by talking to the students and interacting with her stuffed dog along with other props to keep their attention.

She read the students her book while it was projected for the students to see the illustrations, and so they could follow along. She allowed for audience participation when talking about what makes people different and allowed the students to describe how it is okay that we are all different.

The students were engaged and entertained during the entire assembly! Teachers raved and mentioned that it was the best author assembly that we have had! Hillary was kind, appreciative, and a joy to work with!”
